About Us

Where We Are:

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Who We Are:

  1. BulletJo Ann Paul - (Blonde Hottie) Co-Founder - Lead and Backing Vocals, keyboards and percussion, vocal and co-musical arranger, set list creator, and song book arranger.

Jo Ann is a talented musician, singer and music teacher who was born, raised and has always lived in Edmonton. Jo Ann cut an album in the 80's of her own material which featured the members of popular country band One Horse Blue. As a testament to the talent of One Horse, Jo Ann's album is not country, but 80's fusion.

Over the years, Jo Ann has had house gigs at virtually every hotel in Edmonton that has a piano.  Most recently (from December 2000 to June 2005), she performed at the Casino ABS on Argyll piano bar as the house weekend pianist/vocalist every Friday and Saturday night from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

  2. BulletTrudy Berry - (Brunette Hottie) Lead and Backing Vocals, keyboards and percussion.

Trudy is a talented vocalist and musician for which music has been a part of her life since the age of six when she began organ lessons, adding the french horn, trombone and trumpet, and eventually moving on to her true love, singing. "I hope no one expects me to play the f.h. or trombone or trumpet because I haven't played them in years!"

She has performed as a backup singer for numerous local bands and in "interactive" theater for many years, including murder mystery dinner theatre for a couple of years in the 80's, and more recently featured in the theater ensemble troop Sir Unicorn Special Events.

  3. BulletGary Sumlak - (the Guy) Co-Founder - Lead and Backing vocals, keyboards and guitars, engineer,  chief musical arranger and roady.

Gary started singing before he could talk but did not actually join a band until after high school. Since then he has performed as lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist in numerous 80's rock bands.

BTW - Gary’s head is not really that much smaller than the girls’.  He was just further back from the camera.

In November of 1999, Jo Ann and Gary joined forces in a duo called Musaic (pronounced as a combination of music and mosaic) which performed regularly at the dine and dance restaurant Doucette's. In October of 2002 they became Doucette's house band.

After Doucette’s closed in 2002, we all got together in November to perform at a club called the Pinnacle - also known as the Celtic Hall - as the house band. Unfortunately, the Pinnacle closed. However, we enjoyed playing as a group, and pitched the group to local agents, eventually being picked up by Mitchell Entertainment.

We created our Demo CD on Dec 2,2003 and so far, the response has been very good, resulting in numerous bookings and acquiring a healthy fan base, especially among the ballroom dance community
